| Not much has changed since I had an update. I'm still actively looking for a job, whether it be part time or full time. Anything would work...I just need a job that will pay me so we can have more income! It's very frustrating. I apply to places like food lion, walmart, jc penny, Ross', etc. online and I have to take this "survey" at the end of the application that will tell the company if I match what they are looking for. I have been turned down 2 times! Eric said that the way to get around them is to lie on the survey just to get a foot in the door. So I've been doing that lately and I"m still not getting any interviews. I have joined a support group for people who do not have jobs and who are actively looking for a job. I'm the youngest person in this group. Most of the people were in textile work and were laid off months ago and they are looking for jobs in the same field. But I'm trying to get a network of people so I can try to get a job some how. I turned in my resume this morning at a local Christian school to be a Teaching Assistant. I don't have to have a teach certificate/liscense to be a TA in North Carolina. If I were to apply to be a TA in the school system I would have to drive a bus and I would not want to do that. My mother-in-law heard that this Christian school was hiring a TA for next school year and will be making a decision soon so I took my resume over there this morning. The person I talked to said that the principle would not be looking at the resume's for a few weeks. I really hope this will work out.
I just got back from a trip to Indiana with my parents last night. I drove the whole way up on Saturday and the whole way back yesterday. I wore myself out but I enjoyed it. I missed Eric a lot while we were gone, though. We don't have internet at the house yet. That's on the waiting list til I get a job. I've got to get home to do laundry before bed time.

| I'm a college graduate...I'm a married woman....life is good but I still don't have a job. Please pray that there will be jobs that come available in this area. I am playing handbells in the handbell choir at church. I am having fun learning something new. I am playing the three highest bells: B flat, B, and C. It's fun when I get to play...I don't have many notes to play but it's fun listening to the other bells. We are playing this Sunday at church for the prelude and on Easter Sunday. I got my hair cut yesterday. It looks really good. Eric said it makes me look older.
I've been reading a book called "Lost Women of the Bible"...it's interesting. Me and Eric got a Wii and have had a blast! We've been playing wii sports the last few weeks...I'm a pro at bowling and am working on becoming one at tennis. We got mario cart this week. This is fun because you can sit down and play the game. I get adgetated easily with it though because I can't win all 4 races to unlock more cups. I guess I'll get it eventually. I've unlocked a new motor bike. I guess that's good. This morning when I was playing, I was in last place and some how got first place all on the same lap. Eric was amazed and stunned. I was too, to an extent.
Well, I've got to go to dinner then to a meeting about the show I'm helping out with in May.

| I know that it's been a while since I've posted. I'm now an alumni of Gardner-Webb University! The last month got a little crazy there at the end. I had several big papers to do and several tests to take. While I only had 13 hours during my last semester, I was still busy. I had a 15-20 page paper to write for one of my classes. I chose to write it on the recent developments in the Roman Catholic Church. I covered some major issues such as homosexuality, ecumenical agreements with Protestants, the Humane Vitae, and a couple of changes in theology since Vatican II. It was a very interesting paper to research and to write. There were several directions I could have taken it in and there have been several developments since Vatican II.
I graduated December 15th and am now in the process of looking for a job in the Hickory area. I will really start looking for a job probably tomorrow and Wednesday. From what I have heard many people will begin to hire after the new year. We are now down to less than 40 days til the wedding!! That is really keeping me busy with all the planning. I hope the invitations will get out this week (or at least some of them). Today was Eric's birthday and yesterday was my birthday. That is why we decided not to have the wedding in December...it would have made the month too busy! I am going next Monday to get contacts for the first time. I'm excited! Hopefully it will be a smooth transition. I'm not sure if I mentioned that me and Eric have a town house. Eric got it back in September. We are excited about it!
I need to start heading towards bed. I just wanted to write a short update tonight.

| I have some-how injured my right knee. It started to hurt late Thursday night when we were at Walmart. It has been swollen ever since. I went to the chiropractor yesterday for an adjustment and the doctor put my knee back into place. My knee has been popping some. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. Eric said that it was probably not very good. I've been putting ice on my knee from time to time. The chiropractor said that I probably just strained it really bad or something. But I've got a lot of work to get done this weekend. So it'll be a good weekend to stay off my knee. It still hurts a little bit when I walk. | | |
